Selective Pallet Racking
Selective Pallet Racking is the most common form of cost effective Pallet Storage. The Selective Pallet Racking name is derived from the ease of selecting the storage heights of the pallet racking beams, even after the pallet racking has been fully installed. This allows the customer to have the pallet racking beam heights changed according to stock requirements and pallet heights. Aisle width between rows of Selective Pallet Racking will depend on the lifting device being used. The brands that we offer for Selective Pallet Racking are: For the manufacture and installation of Selective Pallet Racking we use the Australian Standard AS 4084-2012. Please read our user guide for understanding your rights and responsibilities under Australian Standard AS 4084. Better Racking Solutions’ guide to AS 4084-2012 The standard Pallet Racking frame depth is 838mm, however we can generally offer 610mm, 1219mm, 1372mm and 1524mm depths as well. Standard Selective Pallet Racking frame heights include: 2.438m, 3.048m, 3.658m, 4.267m, 4.877m, 6.096m, 6.706m, 7.315m and 7.925m. Other frame heights may be available on request. Standard Pallet Racking load beams are available in 1, 2 and 3 pallet space wide. There are however many sizes in between and can be customised for individual circumstances and weight requirements. The standard 2 pallet space load beam is 2591mm long, however if you have oversized pallets or use a Walkie Stacker forklift you will require the 2743mm load beam. Also available are Step Beams for use with particleboard or MDF shelves. These Step Beams have a recessed inside edge that allows the timber sheeting to sit in between the 2 Step Beams. This eliminates the need for screwing the timber to the Step Beam as it cannot slide off the racking. Standard Selective Pallet Racking load beams sizes: 1372mm, 1524mm, 2591mm, 2743mm, 3048mm, 3353mm and 3810mm. These load beams are often available in different profile options for different weight requirements Standard Selective Pallet Racking step beam sizes: 1372mm, 1829mm 2438mm, 2591mm and 2743mm. Generally pallet racking frames are finished with blue powder coated posts and galvanised bracing. Where your pallet racking solution will be used inside a warehouse away from the weather, this is our standard system that will last for our entire guarantee period. If your pallet racking system is likely to be exposed to the sun, water or in a freezer, we would normally suggest a galvanised pallet racking post as well. The galvanising process adds a hardened zinc coating to the steel instead of the standard powder coating. The galvanised pallet racking frames can be slightly more expensive to purchase, however it will allow the pallet racking to look better and operate for a longer period of time. The pallet racking load beams are generally powder coated orange. For larger projects, Better Racking Solutions can organise for the Selective Pallet Racking to be powder coated in virtually any colour. The requested colours may be the corporate colours of the business of simply just to fit in with the colours of the existing racking. Selective Pallet Racking also has the ability to be used as shelving. MDF, Particleboard or Mesh shelves can be fixed on top of pallet racking load beams to store un-palletised items such as small boxes. This enables pallets to be stored above the shelving within the pallet racking making restocking much easier. The benefits of Selective Pallet Racking include:
