Long Span Shelving is like a scaled down version of Selective Pallet Racking. The beams have a recessed inside edges so the shelf actually sits level with the top of the beam. This eliminates any need for screwing the shelf down.

Long Span Shelving is available in the following sizes:

Long Span frame height - 2.2m.

Long Span frame depths - 450mm, 600mm.

Long Span beam length - 1,800mm and 2,400mm.

The standard load rating for the 'Z' load beams are: 1,800mm (375kg), 2,400mm (450kg). There are however, heavier duty step beams also available. 900mm deep shelves may require board supports to maintain these ratings when using MDF and Particleboard shelves.

Generally our Long Span frames are finished with dark grey powder coated posts and bracing. The Long Span load beams are generally powder coated white.

For larger projects, Better Racking Solutions can organise for the Long Span to be powder coated in virtually any colour. The requested colours may be the corporate colours of the business of simply just to fit in with the colours of the existing shelving.

Long Span Shelving shelf options include MDF and Particleboard timber shelves, powder coated steel shelves, and powder coated Mesh Decks. Long Span Shelving shelf supports are available to support MDF and Particleboard shelves 900mm wide. Long Span Shelving load beams are available in the standard 'Z' beam and heavy duty step beam.

Long Span Shelving is perfect for any office, warehouse or home medium to light duty storage needs. The Long Span shelving beams are very easy and quick to adjust for variations in stock requirements. Due to the exceptional rating on the load beams, Long Span Shelving is also excellent for storing archive boxes which can be fairly heavy.
